Privacy Policy - website users
This policy (together with our Terms and Conditions) sets out the basis on which we will process any personal data that you provide to us. Please read it carefully.

Quotes for services
Your personal data is provided to the service providers we quote on behalf of. They will only use your data to contact you in respect of the quote you have asked for. We process your data under the ‘legitimate interest’ basis of GDPR to ensure our service, which is free to all users, is commercially viable.
This data comprises of your name, email address, telephone number and address.
Other services
When you register for quotes for a survey/building service we may invite you to opt-in to receive emails helping you get quotes for other services from Stipendium. We process this data using the “consent” basis of GDPR. Your personal details will only be used to send you notifications you have requested and for no other purpose. Your details are not shared with third-parties who may provide the service to Stipendium at this stage. If you respond to the emails we send inviting you to get quotes for other services we will explicitly inform you when other firms will be passed your details. You may opt-out of receiving these emails at any time.
You may opt-in to receive a series emails over a number of weeks. We process this data using the “consent” basis of GDPR. You may opt-out of receiving these emails at any time.
Other information we may collect on you
If you contact us we may keep a record of that correspondence.
We automatically collect the following data about you when you visit our site:
- Browser user-agent information – this will reveal your browser (including version), operating system and may reveal your mobile device model information. This information is captured in our webserver logs and may be used for anonymised analysis of site usage.
- IP address – this information is captured in our webserver logs and is recorded when you request a quote or leave feedback. We may use this information for protection against fraudulent use of our services.
We can automatically detect your approximate location (latitude and longitude) if you opt-in to allow us to obtain your location through your browser geolocation information – we offer this facility on some of our web pages. You may revoke this permission at any time via your browser.
On occasion we may reach out to you to talk about how you found our service. Deciding to talk to us is completely up to you. Calls may be recorded and transcribed. This market research data may cover when and how you used the website, and more general information about your experience of Stipendium.
Tracking and cookies

Your rights

Broadband:
Our domestic online and telephone based digital comparison and switching service is supported by our trusted Partner UK Web Media Ltd (company number 04388827 – part of the Comparison Technologies group of companies), trading as [Brand Name] (registered address - The Ridge, Chartway Street, East Sutton, Maidstone, Kent, ME17 3JB) who processes data securely and in line with Data Protection regulations. The Partner is the Data Controller in relation to the digital comparison and switching service and the personal data collected via the digital comparison and switching service.
The service contains links to enable you to visit other websites of interest easily; once you use these links you will leave our site and should note that we do not have any control over that other website. We are not responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting those other sites, and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. Please refer to the Privacy Policy applicable to the website you are using.
If you use the call centre service our Partner will request specific data needed to provide the Service and complete the application within the supplier’s website, this will include (but is not limited to) full name and title, address, date of birth and contact details. Where suppliers request previous address history for credit checks, card details for up-front payments, and bank sort code and account number in order to set up Direct Debits, we will ask you for this information and enter it directly into the supplier’s website.
Energy:
Our domestic online energy comparison and switching service is provided by our trusted Partner Fundraising Innovations Ltd (company number 04426857), trading as energyhelpline (registered address - The Cart Wagon Lodge, Friday Street Farm, Friday Street, East Sutton, Kent, ME17 3DD) who processes data securely and in line with Data Protection regulations.
